SQL Server Compatibility mode

    No matter where you run the statement, just use the drop down box in the Query Editor (Q/A or SSMS) and select master to be safe.

    Thats the way I understand switching the compatibility mode, when I was going from 2000 to 2005 back then I needed my developers at the time to upgrade over 100 stored proc's and they did not get the majority of them ready so I still went along with the upgrade and just had the compat level at 80 until they finished and tested them.
