After installing SQL Client Tools, should we install its service pack?
Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, definitely update to the latest service pack. And also make sure your client tools are at least the same version (if not greater) than any instance you are connecting to.
This was really important in SQL Server 2005 on systems that were upgraded past SP2. There were a lot of changes made to maintenance plans in SP2 and if your client tools were not updated you couldn't work with them.
