Hi all,
This is SQL Server 2008R2. On the SQL Server Configuration I'm unable to see SQL Server Browser. But when I check the services I can see the SQL Browser running.
Under SQL Server Configuration Manager > SQL Server Services
1. Full text
2. SQL Server (Default)
3. SQL Agent (Default)
But I'm unable to see the SQL Browser services here. What is the remedy? Please help.

I suspect the installation failed. Might try repairing the install from setup.

I have tried to do a repair and also reboot the SQL Server but it doesnt seem to have fixed it. I do not see the SQL Browser Service under SQL Configuration Manager
Anything on the registry should I change/check?
Please help...

You can take a look at the MSSQLTip I wrote on missing services from SSCM[/url].
You can likely look under services management console (services.msc) and see Browser service listed there. If it is then the tip linked above should help you get it set correctly.

The browser service is listed under services.msc
But its a bit hard to understand for me.. however here's the output from the command on two different servers

I think I can see SU in both the outputs. Is something needed to be changed?
