  • Just from the error log, there's a number of configuration and maintenance problems on this server.

  • Have you tried starting Task manager on the server and seeing if there's a process eating memory?

p.s. The last integrity check of any of these databases was almost 2 years ago. You like living dangerously?

That actually brings up a good subject. Do you happen to have a recommended link for what to do if an integrity check fails?

    Absolutely. http://www.sqlservercentral.com/articles/65804/

Heh... DOH!!! 😛 I should have thought of that one. Thanks, Gail.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

There isn't really any hard fast link for a fix, it depends what the failure is. Each situation is taken on it's own merit.

Heh... nah... Gail is a "Ninja" at this stuff. I knew that if she hadn't actually written one herself, she'd be able to point me to one. She's done it a couple of times in the past, now.

    Gail, thanks again.
