SQL SERVER AUDIT LOG can scheduled job be placed and get file in .csv format

  • Hi Team,

SQL SERVER AUDIT LOG can scheduled job be placed and get file in .csv format

we can see the audit logs using view logs rather than is there any way we can set the audit to run in frequency for every one hour and schedule it in a job where we can get the result in .csv file format instead of getting it in .sqlaudit format.

    Thanks

  • No unfortunately not.

The file is encrypted in a rudimentary way so no easy way to get the contents, and it's also not in a nice format.

Your best bet is to actually log the data to the application/security Windows log and have a syslog tool extract that information into itself (something like Azure Sentinel) then you can report from there instead.
