SQL Server Agent wont start due to interal Windows Error

    Hi there

    We had a SA conversion and then realize after that all the scheduled sql job started but always started on Step 0 and there is no Step 0.

    So I  restarted the service and the agents won't start up again. I receive the error

    Could not start SQLSERVERAGENTservice on Local Computer

    The service did not return an error. This could be an internal Windows error or an internal serice error.

    If the problem persists, contact your system administrator.

    We tried to rebot the box but the agent still not start up

    Please advice

    In SQL EM , right click SQL Agent and Display Error Log. You might find more information there. Or check SQL Server's logs. Or Check the Windows Event Viewer.

    One of those places will have a very specific error message that will tell you why sql agent won't start up again.
