  hi everyone, me again...

  i ran into an issue in this week, where the sql server agent on our production server failed, i by chance happened to notice that it had failed. is there a way i can have an alert set up to mail certain people when the agent fails? maybe in the form of a stored procedure of some sort?

  I think it is, because the agent who performs the sending of mail. Try to monitor the service agent.
