I have a number of SQL Server 2005 jobs which execute properly every day.
However, when I double-click on the Job to View Properties the Properties window that opens is for a New Job.
If I right click on the job and select Script to Create, the complete job scripts without a problem
Any ideas please as to how I can get the properties window to display correctly?

Right Clicking and selecting Properties just brings up a Properties window for a NEW Job

Do you have sufficient rights to perform the action.........in few cases, you will be able to create new jobs and edit those and others for which you have rights ;).......

When I double-click on a job in 2005 it does bring up the properties window. It looks like your computer is associating a double-click with a 'new job' window instead of the 'properties' window.

Try creating a new job and then editing it or viewing its properties........
