I got an error with
name:Demo: sev 24 errors
type:sqlserver event alert
severity:024 fatala error:hardware error
database name:all databases
occurance count=18
This is the alert i got in my sql server agent.
can anyone help in resolving this problem.
Basically i am not clear about the alert.Could anyone explain me with this situation

First the alert triggered is one of the demo alerts, which are created during SQLServer installation. There are demo alerts for all error with a severity level of 19 or higher.
The error you got "Fatal hardware error" probably means that your disk is corrupt or broken. I've seen it also happen when losing connection while trying to write backups to a network drive. Check your Windows eventlog for other messages.
