SQL Server AG - Clustering - DHCP

  • I have read the document, MSFT has recommended to have DHCP disabled on each node? Is it absolute necessary? I have 3 node AG which i was able to successfully set it up, however i am not able to connect using the listener or RDP using cluster name nor i can ping the cluster. Wondering is it MUST to have DHCP disabled for clustering?

  • i was able to get one step further....now i can connect to listener ,ping to cluster only when both AG and cluster resources are on the same node. Can't connect to listener or ping from secondary node.
