Anyone out there have any information on how long Microsoft intends to support SQL 7.0 on Windows 2000? Did they announce dates?
By support I also understand patch releases.
Thanks for any info. I'll post what I find.

Mainstream support is over for SQL 7.0 on December 1, 2005. The original date was moved to this date, because 2005 wasn't ready to release to market. As for how long they will issues sp's? I don't know that one.

Starting point to determine the support on a product:
Lifecycle Starting Point (Choose Country)
Extended support will be Dec 31, 2010 or 2 years after the next version (SQL Server 2005) is released, whichever is longer.
