Install it on a 64-bit system instead.

There is no 32-bit version. You need a 64-bit system to install SQL Server 2016. Check the system requirements page.

Are you receiving this error on a 64-bit system?

I know that you mentioned the details above. And I mentioned the reason for the error above.
Then you tried the installation again ... and got the same error. I assumed that you would have read and understood my reply, and therefore that you would have tried installing on a 64-bit system.
But you are welcome to try installing every day on your 32-bit system, just in case it magically works one day.

Directly from Hardware and Software Requirements for Installing SQL Server 2016:
Installation of SQL Server 2016 is supported on x64 processors only. It is no longer supported on x86 processors

I think you must have been reading the wrong document. Piet Linden's answer gives you the link.

Pavan, you can't get there from here. If you don't have a 64-bit CPU, you have to go down to SQL Server 2014, which will run on x86 hardware. Or get your company to spring for a new 64-bit server. Those are your only options.
This shows SQL 2014 working with x86:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms144275(v=sql.120).aspx
This document shows that a 64-bit CPU is required for SQL 2016:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143506.aspx
Here's a document discussing trying to install SQL 2016 on older OS and hardware (unsuccessfully):

Mr.Pavan, Either you are not paying attention and reading the replies or you have no clue on what you are doing!....
Phil Parkin clearly mentioned there's no 32-bit windows support for SQL server 2016.
