Small note when the question of the day comes through in the newsletter email all I see is:
"For SQL Server 2012 on a stand alone server, Microsoft recommends using domain user accounts as the owner of the various SQL Server services over Managed Service Accounts or Virtual Accounts."
That is not a question that is a statement.
Without visiting the site to answer I have no idea what the question was.
Perhaps better to phrase as: Is the following statement true or false? ....

I know reading that training kit for the 70-462 exam (Administring SQL Server 2012) would come in handy someday!
Thanks for the question.
Need an answer? No, you need a question

"Exceptions are ..."
So the correct answer is actually "it depends"?

Agreed - the same as so many other answers. It usually depends on __.

Well i think it's fine if the user has asked quesiton as per what Microsoft recommends... Though I agree that in general "it depends" applies on almost all the things in SQL. TGIF. 🙂

Didn't know the answer. But, FALSE seemed a reasonable guess, as that's what I would expect. Hard to see why they would recommend using specific user accounts.

I had to guess, too.
