hi.
i am trying to install sql srever 2008 R2 in a windows server 2008 (and since it failed, tried server 2003 SP2 as well.). but the followin g errors appear in the Suport Files installation window.
what may be the problem ?

the provided link says "There is no additional information about this issue" i am helpless

Hi ,
Which version of the windows installer are you using? Also is the windows installer service started?

Windows Installer 4.5 or later is required for installing SQL Server 2008R2.
Check details of C:\Windows\System32\msi.dll to determine the File Version that you are using.
