Hi,
I'm wandering if there is a solution to set up the replication agent in a way it will only run if there is enough band width available.
I'd like to run an off line application with a replicated database. But this database contains some larger tables containing large manuals in PDF etc.
I'd like to replicate those only when a WIFI connection is available while other tables, which are a lot smaller can be replicated no matter which bandwidth is available.
Can this be done ?
Thank you
Greetings.

You could look into merge replication or transactional replication with a pull subscription. With those two methods you can control when replication runs. You would need to setup some type of agent, maybe a windows service written in .net, that is aware of the available bandwidth that can kick off the various subscriptions per your custom thresholds.
