Hi,
I have a sql server 2008 R2 which is needed to be upgraded to SQL server 2014. Now it needs to be upgradad in place. While checking I found that it has reporting services also.
Question is, it is not recommended to upgrade Reporting service to sql 2014. If I do not uninstall SQL Reporting service and after the sql server is installed If I just restore the report server and reportserverdb, will that be fine to connect sql server reporting service or any changes needed?
Do I need to run upgrade advisor?
Thanks.

I am not across the detail of upgrading from SSRS 2008R2 to SSRS2014 but make sure that you have a backup of the SSRS encryption key. Without this, the restore of the SSRS databases may end up without any of the encrypted content (e.g. connection strings in your data sources). TO backup the encryption you should use the SSRS Configuration Tool.
