SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 2.

    Hi All,

    I wanted to know whether the service pack 2 for sql server 2008 r2 is available for download. I can see service pack for sql server 2008 available on the microsoft websites, was wondering whether it would cause any compatibility issues on r2 environment.

    Anybody, can you please provide me your thoughts on this.

    SQL Server 2008 sp2 cu2 - latest 2008 release

    SQL Server 2008 R2 cu6 - latest 2008 R2 release

    There have not been any service pack releases for SQL Server 2008 R2. No, you will not be able to apply SQL Server 2008 sp2 to a SQL Server 2008 R2 install.

    Hi,

    Can I get notification of the latest patches spcifically for SQL Server 205/2008. I subscribed to Microsoft Security Bulletin but most of the information is on the OS.

    I googled my way to here... so thought id update the trail for others....

    SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 is/was available from 26th of July 2012.
