Does anyone know what the differences in functionality are between developing and deploying reports in Report Builder 3.0 compared with using the version of Business Intelligence Developer Studio that comes with SQL Server 2008 R2?

There are too many differences to type out here.
RB3 is a striped down version of Report developer in bids, you can develop and deploy reports in both.
Is there anything in particular you were looking at?

It was the handling of Report Parts that raised my interest in this issue. My understanding is that Report Builder 3.0 is required to publish Report Parts, and that Business Intelligence Developer Studio is unable to. I am curious as to what other features in Report Builder 3.0 are also unavailable from Business Intelligence Developer Studio, and vice-versa.
Ideally we would be able to include all our source code in one Visual Studio 2010 solution. But it seems that we will have some C# application code in a VS2010 project, some Reporting Services reports in Business Intelligence Developer Studio (VS2008) projects, and will have to use Report Builder 3.0 to deploy Report Parts. Requiring three developer tools to deploy a solution is not a terribly well "integrated" development environment!

Yes repots parts are not used in BIDS, i guess this is becasue BIDS is assumed to be used by developers who would use other methods for collaborative development such as source control.
