We have 3rd party backup software we run on a Windows 2003 server. That sql server 2008 r2 Drivers need to be installed on that machine to backup our new SQl 2008 r2 server. What is the easiest way to do this? I've got the 2008 r2 DVD.

As far as I know the driver would come from your backup software vendor. Most have addons that access SQL Server.
I would check with them for an update.

We are using Idera's SQl Safe. It would be good if you are correct.
