SQL Server 2008 installation problem

  • Hello! Sequel citizens,

    Need your help in solving installtion problem for sql server 2008.

    getting below error...

    The account name is invalid or does not exist, or the password is invalid for the account name specified.

    I am doing fresh installation with service account credentials for services with correct password

    but still i am receiving the error.

  • Looking at the error message I have picked out the following

    The account name is invalid or does not exist, or the password is invalid for the account name specified.

    Check that the account has the necessary permissions and more importantly have you typed the password correctly.

  • Yes I did that is why i made my statement bold in my post. Even when I am trying to use Network Services / Local System account its throwing the same error. I do have admin rights on this machine :hehe:
