Hi!
I'm tryng to install sql server 2008 on windows 7, but I read in the microsoft site that to install it, first I must install the visual studio 2008 service pack 1, but I can't find it for windows 7. What can I do? Someone help me please!
Thank you very much!

you can go ahead with your installation as I have sql on win7 in my local machine.
It might ask you for .Net Framework 3.5 which can be downloaded and will easily be installed.

The Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) component os SQLServer 2008 uses a subset of Visual Studio 2008. If you don't have VS2088 SP1 installed, it will install a separate copy for it's own use.
Only if you have/use Visual Studio 2008 and want it to integrate properly do you need to ensure you have the right version installed.
