Hi Folks,
We are assigned for a sql server 2008 failover cluster installation on the
active active cluster nodes.
While the process of installation primarly i selected the option of " install
sql server failover cluster Installation" on node1 (active).
Now I got stuck here. After logging on to the second box and the What is the
option i have to select for the Installation.Wether is it "Install sql server
on failover cluster"
OR
"Add a node to the sql server fail over clsuter" Can any one help me with
this? It would be really helpful to me

You will select "Add node to.....". Please refer http://www.mssqltips.com/tip.asp?tip=1721

Is this going to be the same in case of ACTIVE node also?

to install a new failover cluster instance you select "new sql server failover cluster installation". For each node after that you add to the instance you select "add node to a sql server failover cluster".
Does this make sense?

yes, to create an active active installation simply install a second failover cluster instance and move the group to a passive node!

if you have 2 instances of sql server and 2 nodes
active\active
1 instance running on node 1, 1 instance running on node 2
active\passive
2 instances running on node 1, no sql instances running on node 2
