Is there any way to successfully install SQL Server 2008 Express on a Domain Controller? The Domain Controller is a W2k8 Server.
Thanks for your consideration and help.

It is recommended NOT to install SQL Server on a Domain Controller for security and performance reasons.

The quick answer is Yes, it installs easily just like anywhere else...but I would not do it in anything except a test setup. As already stated, it is not a recommended practice.
I have it running on a WS2k8 Domain Controller in my house as part of a test harness with systems that are too old to support Hyper-V so everything I need is lumped together in non-recommended fashion but it is just for test and not connected to the outside world or even other networks.
To get it working all I did was connect the DC to the outside world to go to the SQL Express 2008 download site and clicked to install it. About 20 minutes later it was running and I dropped the outside world connection.
