SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition 32-bit version installation on Windows Server 2008

  • Hi Friends,

    When installing SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition 32-bit version on Windows Server 2008 64-bit version,

    SQL server unable to identify the IIS 7.0 even after i set the Enable32bitAppOnWin64 option to True .

    Can you please provide the solution for my problem..i want to install reporting services on my server.

  • I had do exactly the same thing but in my case i was installing sql server 2005 x64 on windows server 2008 x64.

    if i remember correctly iis 7 needs lots of configuration before you can get sql server 2005 reporting services working.

    However, the article below from microsoft is brilliant. it actually works.
