Hello All,
I have been taked to purchase an SQL Server 2005 for my department and I am not sure what version to get, I have looked on the Microsoft's comparison sheet (http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinfo/features/compare-features.mspx , and I am a little confused with the second to the last row of the Business intelligence feature (SQL Server Integration Services Data Flow Integration)...
My question is, If I needed to perform data flow tasks, would I not be able to do that with the Standard Edition? I just need to be able to do some data extraction and manipulation to an extent.
Please help. Thanks in advance.

I'm using the Standard Edition in production and use SSIS packages which all work. In fact I have not found anything on the Development that doesn't work on the Standard. I guess the feature you mention refers to complex data mining.

Thanks a lot guys, that helps a lot...I'm currently running the trial edition and it comes with everything, but it doesn't specifically indicate for each tool, which edition it's available in.
Now I know all I really need is the Standard.
