Also note that the kb article mentioned (and the public url is http://support.microsoft.com/kb/960828/ as not everyone has access to the premier site) is not available at this point.

Ok, some answers.
SP3 CU1 is a rollup of all the hotfixes that are in SP2 CU 10 and CU 11. They didn't make it into the service pack because they came in too late to be tested.
SP3 CU1 will be available 'in a few days'
The KB article detailing CU1 was put up too early and hence was taken down. It will be live in 'a few days'
From what I can tell, the download for SP3 itself was taken down because the pages were available before all the files finished copying... :hehe:
This blog post has all the pertinent and relevant links for SP3 - http://blogs.msdn.com/sqlreleaseservices/archive/2008/12/16/sql-server-2005-sp3-released.aspx

I don't suppose SQL ServerCentral would be posting an article about SP3 and talk about the proper procedure to follow to install it? (depending on what CU the server is on from SP2, etc...)

Definitely do some research about SP3 before you test or apply. There are some issues here to be aware of like the CU.

Hi,
I am trying to figure out where to download SP3 for SQL2005 64bits Standard Edition. The only one I found is for 32 bits. Can someone shoot the link on this thread?
Thanks in advance.

Looks like they're detecting the file from your machine. Might try downloading from the server.
I know, dumb, but they have to make some great mistakes on every SP.
