[font="Verdana"]Hi All,
I had SQL Server 2005 Standard endition with SP4 intalled on my machine. Due to some problem with SSMS and SSIS, SSRS as well, I removed the whole SQL Server 2005 from machine through windows Add/Remove programms. It got removed successfully.
Then I tried to re-intall the SQL Server 2005, but while System configuration checking step it is throwing error at Performance Monitor Counter Requirement (Error) action.
The detailed error is:
- Performance Monitor Counter Requirement (Error)
Messages
Performance Monitor Counter Requirement
The System Configuration Check for Performance Monitor counter registry value has failed. For details, see How to: Increment the Counter Registry Key for Setup in SQL Server 2005, in the readme file or in SQL Server Books Online.
Also I tried the below URL so that I can update the values into registry. But in vain I didn't found any helpful information anywhere.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143215(SQL.90).aspx
Can anybody suggest me on this?
Thanks in advance,
Mahesh

Hi Mahesh,
SP4 is not yet released for SQL 2005. Can you confirm whether it is 2005 or 2000.
