  Can anybody share any useful links / articles with practicals to understand the locking mechanism in SQL 2005.

  I got some links from msdn but i need some practical scenarios where in i can try and understand the locks esculations .... n all

  Pick up a copy of Inside SQL Server. One of those books has a great section on locking and lock escalation.
