I'm really going to show my age here...but I've never installed a SQL Server 2005 cluster. I've only worked with 2008 cluster installs. Anyways, we had an issue where we had to rebuild the passive node. I've gone through all the correct steps and keep getting caught up on "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable." I've tried browsing to a location with the installation media...no dice. I've extracted the installation files to the location where the installer thinks it should be...still doesn't work. So my next question is, could I be using 32bit installation media instead of the needed 64bit media; is there a difference in installation media in 2005? I know in 2008 both are contained in the same media. Please help! I'm pulling my hair out.

Yes there is a difference. Also, did you have SQL 2005 patched and are you trying to use install media that does not include the same patch level of your cluster?

Yes, it is patched at SQL 2005 SP3. I'm using the original installation media, so its not at the same patch level. This is a stupid question..but...how do I add the passive node to a SQL 2005 SP3 cluster install, then?
I'm so glad MS made things easier in 2008.
Thanks for your help!
