Sql Server 2005 Express Test Connection Error/Exception

  • I'm trying to setup a JPA project (from Eclipse Galileo) to be able to use hibernate to connect to a SqlServer2005 express DB, while also using Tomcat 6. I'm getting the following error:

com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Login failed for user 'xxx\xxxxxxxxxx'. The user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.

I have checked several threads in previous and haven't really found anything helpful yet. I would appreciate any help or suggestions that anyone can offer. Thanks.

  • Looks to me like you just need to make sure the login you're using can connect, and your connection string is set up correctly.

If it's more complex than that, what am I missing?
