Hi,
We have SQL Server 2005 x64 Developer Edition in QA environment to store share point application databases. Is that supported by MS according to their license structure?
Or we must use either Standard or Enterprise edition on QA environment?
Please clarify..
Thank you

As long as it is ONLY for testing and developing solution for your live SharePoint, it should be ok. If you have any further questions you should either speak to your license provider or Microsoft direct.

I think you are outside of Microsoft license terms, and that you need to use the appropriate edition for your workload.
If you are not sure, speak to whoever manages Microsoft licensing at your site, or if no-one does this job speak to your Microsoft account manager or the MS Help Desk.
