SQL Server 2005 Developer, $80K+

    Description:

    The candidate will be expected to perform data conversion as part of a data conversion team.  The candidate will be part of a data conversion team converting legacy mainframe data to SQL Server 2005.

    The candidate will additionally be expected to work with the QA team to identify performance bottle necks during load testing. Performance optimization proposals must be written by the candidate. The proposals will be reviewed and approved by the technical staff. The candidate will then be responsible for implementing the approved changes and working with the QA team to ensure desired performance optimizations satisfy the optimization goals.

    Required skills:

    Minimum 10 years database development experience with at least 6 in SQL Server

    Extensive experience utilizing DTC for distributed transactions

    Enterprise level design experience required.

    Must have experience authoring DB models, data dictionary and detailed design specifications.

    5 years performance tuning experience is required utilizing tools such as SQL Profiler and perfmon.

    5 years database automation experience. This includes DTS automation experience to load data and produce exception reports for data not meeting input rule requirements.

    Favorable skills:

    Experience with DBA automation jobs that proactively monitor disk utilization, CPU utilization and send notifications if thresholds are exceeded.

    4 year degree in Computer Science.
