Good day
I have been tasked with finding out if there is a way to put sql server 2005 in some sort of compaitbility mode betweeen editions or not. We are developing a database, and the developer is currently using the msdn developers edition of SQL Server 2005. As we are aware, this uses the equilivent of enterprise SQL Server.
Is there a way to "turn on" and "turn off" the additional tools / features so that we can better determine what version of SQL Server 2005 we will need for our production box?
TIA
Cory

Maybe you could start with http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinfo/features/compare-features.mspx
I don't know if there is a "emulate standard edition" switch

I don't think there is such a switch either. I would beware of the features that are listed as not working in Standard, but most of the "functionality" should be the same, T-SQL, CLR,e tc.

Thanks all
I did not think there was either, and I have the list, and have instructed the developer to try and understand what set of tools they are using. I was hoping to have a way to force the hand...
Thanks again!
