No idea, but I'll have to check. I hadn't put Cumulative Update 5 on my box yet.

I've been having the same problem with the CU 4 download. I've requested it twice and they only send me the installation for SQL Native client.

This is a great list. My suggestion would be to specify if a cumulative update is public downloadable or not.
As far as I know (I could be way wrong, though), these are the latest public downloadable updates:
SQL2005 - 9.00.3054.00 (or 315x?)
SQL2000 - 8.00.2187

This is also a very good info for us. But it is not an article. It is information sharing. This comes under knowledge/information sharing. I would request Steve to open a new category called 'Information Sharing', where we can share our tips, new tools available. I already found couple of articles which qualifies for this category.
I also want comment on this from my forum partner.
🙂

I'm not sure we want a information sharing section. All of the content here is shared by people and we bring it to light in the daily newsletter. The scripts, articles, once in awhile the QODs are written by the community.
We are shooting out some short tips as well instead of full-length articles.

Thnks Steve 🙂

As mojo said, it would be a great think to know wheter the hotfix is public or not.
And I'm also having the same question as Martin Vrieze had. Is it right to apply hotfixes if you don't have the problem? (Microsoft says no)
Only when the hotfix is public?
Regards,
Josep.

Tnx Steve, great list.
Just noticed that the CSV is up-to-date until build level 9.00.3200 only.
cheers

Howdy,
First of all; great job with the list it really comes in handy for me.
But... (I am affraid to ask since it may sound very foolish and stuppid :w00t: )
Can anybody help me with such a list for SQL 2000?
I have a (small) list at the moment but I've encountered a system (SBS2003R2) with version 8.00.1100 and I don't know wheter this is SQL2000 / SP3 or SP4..
My list for SQL 7 and 8 consists of the following entries (I am basically interested in SP numbers);
7.00.517 SQL Server 7.0 Beta 3
7.00.583 SQL Server 7.0 RC1
7.00.623 SQL Server 7.0 "gold" release
7.00.699 SQL Server 7.0 with SP 1
7.00.842 SQL Server 7.0 with SP 2
7.00.961 SQL Server 7.0 with SP 3
7.00.1063 SQL Server 7.0 with SP 4
8.00.194 SQL Server 2000 "gold" release
8.00.384 SQL Server 2000 with SP 1
8.00.534 SQL Server 2000 with SP 2
8.00.760 SQL Server 2000 with SP 3
8.00.818 SQL Server 2000 with SP 3 and hotfix KB 830767
8.00.1100 SQL Server 2000 with SP 3 or 4? on SBS 2003 R2 <<--- TODO: Is it SP3 or 4??
8.00.2039 SQL Server 2000 with SP 4
8.00.2187 SQL Server 2000 with Post-SP 4 rollup hotfix KB 916287
It would be great if someone could help me out or point me to list for SQL 2000.
Greetings,
Albert

Many, many thanks 😀
However the 8.00.1100 build (on a customers SBS2003R2 server) is on none of the lists??
Well.. We just assume it is a SP3 with hotfixes for SBSMONITOR and SHAREPOINT (SBS uses WSDE instead of MSDE 😉 )
-- Although it might be the SP4 update for WSDE?
Again thanks!
Albert
BTW
at http://www.sqlsecurity.com/FAQs/SQLServerVersionDatabase/tabid/63/Default.aspx even SQL 6.0 and 6.5 are mentioned :w00t:
