Does anyone have any suggestions for a good SQL SERVER 2005 Book, I am not looking for a begining guide, more of an experienced DBA moving from sql 2000 to 2005.
Thanks

I do not know what there is out already in the DBA space, but Beachemin et. al.'s "A first look at SQL Server 2005 for developers" is very good at describing the news for developers. There is a lot about the CLR integration as well as XML support, Service Broker, Notification Services etc. But there are also parts about news in security, t-sql enhancements etc. The book is 'quite old' now though since it was written for Beta 2, so some parts have changed from what it says in the book. Mostly it is just different syntax, but some parts (ObjectSpaces for instance) have even been cut from SQL Server entirely. There will be a new version out around RTM I think, but I would still recommend it as a good read now.
I know that there will be an Inside SQL Server 2005 book from Kalen Delaney, which will of course be the new bible. Actually it will no longer be one book but rather 3 volumes according to Kalen in an interview.
Google and/or Amazon will probably give you lots of tips on books coming up soon or already out there.

Chris,
Thanks, I will give Delaney volumes a look up on Goggle.

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any info on it available. At least I couldn't find any. Post a link here if you do. I heard her talking about it when interviewed by Greg Low for the SqlDownUnder.com podcast.
