Hi All,
I will be starting a position soon and I will be supporting a BI application running on SQL Server 2005. I want to get a baseline of system performance at the beginning to compare with high activity periods in the future.
Could someone please suggest your ideas of the best procedures(s) for gaining this information?
Regards & Thanks,
Sean

There's an introduction to exactly this here[/url].
There are a lot of drill down points you can make from there, but it generally covers the basics.
