Has anyone tried installing the SQL Server 2005 and 2000 Client Tools side by side on the same pc?
I want to test out some connections to SQL Server 2005 via MS Office 2003, but I don't want to destroy the existing connections using SQL Server 2000 and MS Office 2003 or cause any other data issues.
Any thoughts are appreciated!
Thanks!

Works fine.
In fact, at one point I had the SQL7, SQL2000 and SQL2005 tools installed on the same box since I needed to administer SQL6.5, 7, 2000 and 2005 databases.
However, be aware it will update your MDAC, so if there are any legacy quirks that a particular package relies on, it may not work.
