Hi,
I have sql server 2005 enterprise Edition on my laptop, can i install sql sserver 2000? or is there any thing like need to instal 2000 and after only 2005

What's on your laptop? Enterprise only installs on a server operating system.
I'm not sure if you can install 2000 as a named instance with 2005. You might need to install 2000 first, but it won't hurt anything to try.

is ur SQL 2005 the default instance or is it a named instance ?

My sql server 2005 is default instance.

You cannot!! Once SQL Server 2005 has been installed you cannot install SQL Server 2000. However, You can install SQL Server 2000 and then install named SQL Server 2005. So now you can do following
1) Uninstall SQL Server 2005
2) Install SQL Server 2000 - named instance
3) Install SQL Server 2005
This way you will have both running on the machine. Be aware this will require quite a lot memory.
