  Hi, does anyone know how to upgrade the licenses of SQL?  We have 2000 licenses now, want to migrate some databases to 2005.  Can you use the same license for 2005 as we did with 2000?  Just trying to get an idea of how it works.  Thanks,

  As far as I know you can only upgrade if you purchased Software Assurance with your original 2000 licenses.

   

  You can probably confirm this with the re-seller you purchased your licenses from.
