  I heard that Microsoft will end support for SQL Server 2000 on January 1, 2007.  I wanted to know if this is true.  Can anyone confirm if this is fact or fiction?

  If this is the case then expect Mainstream support to end roughly December 2007, and Extended support to end December 2012.
