Anyone had an issue with the latest SQL Server 2000 Security Update for Service Pack 2 (Q316333) not showing that it has taken effect in the server properties? We have one of our servers that we have installed and uninstalled twice now because each time we ran through the upgrade and then went to verify the properties of the server by checking "Product Version 8.00.0679 (SP2)", it still reads as 8.00.0384 (SP1). Any ideas?

when I ran a select against the spt_server_info table in the master database it is showing that the product version is 8.00.384 (it should read 8.00.534).

Check the physical sqlsrv.exe version in the file system.
Updated another server that had been updated with MS02-45 and had no issues. Show .679 as the version. Will do more servers in a couple weeks.
