Sql Server 2000 not getting installed on my laptop with XP Professional

  Hi,

  I am trying to install Sql Server 2000 on my laptop with Windows XP Professional but it is giving me a message as ' The server components will not get installed on this OS. Only the client components will get installed.' Please help.

  You can install Developer Edtion.

  ok Thanx for that.. but what about Sql Server 2005 Express Edition..That also is giving me the same message

  2005 Express should install. Look at the supported OS's on the download page.
