SQL Server 2000 Enterprise, how much memory can it address and how?

  • Our database server has been upgraded to 64bit Win2003 Enterprise with 18Gb or Ram. Howerver we are not sure if SQL 2000 Enterprise can address this kind of memory. Does anyone know if it can? If it can what would have to be done to get it to do so if anything at all OR would we be better off with 32bit Enterprise Win2003?

Any help is appreciated as we need to make some decisions soon.

    Thanks.

  • It can address this memory.

As much as you can spare. I'd go 14-16GB.
