    Can you run Sql Server 2000 and Sql Server 2005 on the same server?

    Yes you can, You need to use named instances.

    u can install both of them on the same m/c or box. The first installation will be called default instance and the other or second installation will be called named instance referenced by $ sign on your services.msc.

    A maximum of 16 instances are suppoted on one computer for SQL 2000
