Sql Server 2 Node Clustering

  • Hi All

I have One doubt regarding 2 Node Active/Passive Clustering.

If One Node Down , Generally Second Node or Failover Node ups. But Is there any possibility another Node(Failover Node ) may not UP because of some problem. if yes what would be reason

    Thanks

  • Well, there are any number of things that could take multiple nodes down:

Facility wide outage (power, air conditioning).

    Router/switch failure.

Concurrent hardware failure on each node.

Patches being automatically pushed to the servers that cause systems to lock up... or lose their connections to their Domain Controllers.

... and the list goes on...

If you can't explain to another person how the code that you're copying from the internet works, then DON'T USE IT on a production system! After all, you will be the one supporting it!
