I've realised that I am old enough to be Keira Knightley's dad (just) and that is upsetting on a whole new level... Oh no the marital radar just went ping again.....Argggh..

Just a quick question before anyone logs off. Can data ever cause a h/w failure specially on EMC machines? Reason is we had a prodn failure yday morning wherein 1 disk failed and so we swtiched over to our DR server unfortuantely we see the same problem there too now?? Cant be a coincidence but can data cause any h/w problem??

Personally I would be very surprised if it could but in the old days of the Commodore Pet you could POKE a location with a certain value and the motherboard used to explode.
