Hi,
I would like to know that Reporting service can be used with windows based applications or we only use it for web applications (require: IIS)
Please guide me with links available on MS sites or any other that satisfies that reporting services can be included in windows based applications.
I read a MS Reporting Service site where they said we can migrate Access reports in it.
http://www.microsoft.com/sql/reporting/productinfo/features.asp#reportdes
Importing Microsoft Access reports
You can use Report Designer to import reports from an Access database (.mdb) or Microsoft Project (.adp) file. Each report within the database or project file is converted to Report Definition Language (RDL) and saved within the designated report project.
Please guide and let me know ASAP. We have to migrate our current application on .NET.

Check the feature list for SQL Server 2005.
MS will be releasing a set of controls that can be used to render reports in Windows Apps.

See the webcast called "Advanced Reporting w SQL 2005". Even that the title reads "2005", the code they showed works for 2K too. They had a VB.Net app that reendered a sample report. Simple but cool, like it.
Just e-mail the presenter for the code, because they don't have it shared.
