SQL Replication and Backups

    I am in the process of setting up replication for the first time. I currently have two servers, one production and the other for recieving the subscription. I am trying to get more information on the timing of these processes. Will either one of these processes interfer with the Arcserve 2000 product I run every night. What is the best way to have my production server run both SQL backup and SQL replication?

    Replication shouldn't interfiere with your backups. But to keep replication consistency in case of a server crash, you should check the option 'Sync with Backup' in the sp sp_replicationdboption. This will sincronize the backup of your published db and the distribution db.
