I understand the risk with a Simple recovery model. I initially created the database with full recovery, because I was mirroring it to another server, with a witness server, too.
My users decided this is not a critical database & that this recovery model was not only acceptable, but preferred. They were fully informed of the opportunity for lost data. They don't complain when this server is reboot, so I guess they may know what they're dealing with.
