Hi,
I am trying to configure mirroring an some old 2016 SQL servers for a client. The PCs have full communication and name resolution, but are in a workgroup (non domain). I have been successfully following this guide: Set Up Mirroring in a Workgroup Through Certificate Authentication | DBA Services .
The database "A" is backed up to a .bak, and restored on the mirror server in NORECOVERY mode. The Mirror server is successfully able to make a partnership to the Primary server on port X. However, the next step, connecting the primary to the mirror, does not work, giving the error "The server network address Y can not be reached or does not exist. The port is open and can communicate betwen parties. All endpoints are in a STARTED state as well.
I am at a loss on what the issue could be, any input would be appreciated.
